Dr. Stephen Jones is working around the clock to create the first time suppression device for the company which employs him. He has no life outside his underfunded laboratory. If he doesn’t get the prototype up and running he won’t have a job either. His company is desperate to get the government contract to build the machine.
Thea Barret is the CEO of the company where Stephen is employed. She needs the prototype operational because someone from the government is coming to see the progress they’re supposed to have made.
She’d furious Stephen doesn’t have anything practical to show her. While they’re in a stand-off, a delivery is made to the lab: two functioning time machines. One can only go forward in time, the other can only run backwards. But they have no idea who delivered the machines and why these contraptions were sent to the lab. Stephen finds an instruction manual and thinks he can operate the machines.
But the pair is sent back in time with little information on how the machines work. They don’t even know who made them. Can the riddle be solved as to who made the machines? Can these two individuals get them to work and return to the present? Or will they be trapped in the past forever?
